Recycle Bowl

Recycling is the easiest and most effective thing that anyone can do to protect natural resources, conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions. Recycling also creates jobs and stimulates our economy. And, friendly competition is a proven way to motivate young people toward adopting sustainable behaviors. Through Recycle-Bowl, we hope to inspire elementary, middle and high schools to adopt new recycling programs, increase recycling rates, and provide educational opportunities about recycling and waste reduction.

Over the past few years, twelve of our Charlotte County schools have participated and East Elementary placed 2 in the State for their recycling! Way to go team!

The video below was created for this year’s Recycle Bowl by Girl Scout Troop 611 for Neil Armstrong Elementary. This is part of their Bronze Award.nd
